Wohooooo, look what I got today. This is a brand new award and my lovely friend Candee at http://mermaidshaven.blogspot.com/sent it to me. WOW girl, thank you so much for such lovely words, I'm thrilled to get this. I'm not too sure about the 'Never Ending Energy' bit though hehe, I'm dog tired most of the time, hahaha but hey, I LOVE what I do so even if you catch me with my head resting on the keyboard, trigger finger on the mouse and weird noises issuing from the open mouth, I'm not alseep at the wheel, I'm finding inspiration, honest..... lol.

Ok, this award was created by a lovely lady by the name of Nezzidesigns. You can find out more about the award on her blog. For my part, I must chose 3 Designers who 'move me' with their tireless energy and sweet nature. Not an easy job cause I know loads hehe. Hey everyone, how are you?

Well, I should be working on my secret project but I felt like some playtime and what better way then scrapping? I've been seeing a lot of these photo masks around lately with a word attached to it so I thought I'd have a go myself. To be honest, I ain't that good, lol. I'm sure there must be an easier way but I'm happy enough with the results so....

Here are two lo's using different photos. The first is ofcourse, my gorgeous girl, Elly.

and the second is my wonderful man, Jay with his daughter, Jess.

Today, SAS becomes 1 and we are spending the whole month of September celebrating with the most amazing events from fantastic challenges with awesome prizes to fabulous sales and our BIG Designer Contest. In fact, there is just so much going on that I'm just gonna say GO HERE and have a blast...

If by any chance, you're still here, or, you've been and come back, in which case, well done you, hehe, Here's a look at my Color Challenge for September. Now, you'll remember that last month I had tons of pc problems so I was really late getting Augusts up, Don't worry folks, Augusts CC is going to continue to run along side Septembers for the whole of September. Phew, you sure are going to be busy this month hehe.

Color Challenge is finally up

Hi all. Thanks so much for all your lovely comments. It sure is wonderful to know you missed me. Makes me feel kind of special.

Well, It nearly didn't make it for August but I'm nothing if not persistant hehe so I finally got my SAS August Color Challenge up and running

and here are the previews, hope you like....

This is the August Color Challenge Starter kit which you can grab for free throughout August and September here

and here's a lo I did using the kit.

And this is what you can earn yourselves just for taking part in the challenge so get on ofver to SAS and have yourelves some fun

You'll find the challenge here

The rules are real easy. Use at least 3 of the colors in your lo. Or using the color swatch, create your own mini kit to share with us.

You can use my kit for your lo's or any kit you choose but please remember to credit the Designers when you post to the gallery.

Finally, If you wish to make QP's please ask permission from the Designers first. My starter kit is for personal use only and cannot be used for QP's. Sorry gals.

A Quick Note

Hiya everyone,

Its been way too long but I've finally got my pc back so now for some spring??? cleaning. Sorry ladies but if I'm to add new goodies I need to clear my 4shared account pronto, it's positively bursting at the seams, lol.

Grand DSO Re-Opening and much more......

Hello Everyone,

So sorry I've been missing in action for a bit but this very naughty pc won't behave so it's time for some serious action. Yup, it's going to PC Hospital for an 'Extreme Makeover' lol. So, with my 3 week holiday starting tomorrow and the two weeks for pc to get 'fixed up' I'll be gone a little while but oh what wonderful things we have in store for you on our return so be sure to watch this space....... it WILL be worth it, hehe.

Ugghhhh! Who was the clever clot who said Hayfever season was over?? Oh yeah, that would be ME! Hehehe. Well, as I'm sure you guessed, I was wrong, and BIG time too. On Friday last it was so bad I got really scared and thought I might even have to pay a visit to the hopital. I couldn't catch my breath between sneezes and thought I was going to stop breathing all together. Fortunately, I'm a big believer in self help and relaxation so with the biggest effort, I managed to bring my breathing under control until the sneezing stopped, which eventually, it did, thank goodness, lol.

Usually, I can cope with things if I stay indoors, close windows and keep the room pretty dim but this year the weirdest thing happened. Those pesky little Pollen Monsters must have found a way in and become super concentrated because I was much worse indoors then out..... WEIRD!!!

Well, obviously, I havn't felt much like doing anything at all lately so a huge sorry for being MIA for a good week or so. To make up for it, I put all my little goodies together in one go for you today. They go with my latest kit Faded Bouquet which is available at SAS and DSO. Hope you like.

I am soooooo far behind with all my tasks that I'm spending the next few days trying to catch up. I know I've been tagged a couple of times, thanks gals, so I'll get to those as soon as I can and someone awarded me a gorgeous blog award too, wohooooo, I love it and shall be sporting it very soon. Thank you so so much for that.

I also have alot of work on for my portions of next months Mega Kits at SAS, DSO and CLD. Oh my goodness. I've been getting some sneek previews of them all from the girls at each store and WOWsers, the Megas are stunning and so much fun. I just know you're going to love them all.

Of course, I still have my BIG project on the back burner, slowly simmering away, hehehe. Its all coming together slowly but surely and hopefully, will be ready real soon so keep watching this space for some really BIG news from BooLand. The Blossoms and I are very excited about it all.

Hey, I can see again.....

Finally, I can open my eyes to the sunlight again....

After days hiding away in a darkend room with all windows and doors tightly closed, I finally emerged today into the sunshine again, wohoooooo! Ok, so the hayfever hasn't all together gone and its left me with one heck of a headache that is stubbornly refusing to go, still, today I could look at the gorgeous sunshine without feeling my eyes turn into soggy puff balls or my throat feel like its just been dowsed with a ton of itching powder so all in all, I'm feeling pretty good, hehe. I must just thank you all for your lovely messages, for those of you who popped in to see how I was, it meant such a lot and had me eager to get back to work, hehe, so thank you all so much.

Well, wow, first of all I gotta say I was totally boweld over when I checked in at SAS to see how things were going with my Colour Challenge. OMG, its positively bursting at the seems with fantastic kits including some from our fab SAS Designers AND even my good friend KimB over at DSO has entered and done one for us. Hello and welcome back everyone. How are you all today?

Its a mighty post today with lots of news and of course a goody for you all so sit back, grab a coffee (or in my case, a large mug of tea, hehe) and enjoy.

Hey, how many of you out there are Hay Fever sufferes? Uggghhh. Every year i hope it will pass me by and every year it finds me. Today I'm hiding indoors with all the windows shut tight, curtains drawn, sunglasses and face mask on and a ton of paper hankies, lol. A delightful sight to behold.... NOT!

I'm overwhelmed with all the fantastic comments I've revieved both here and on 4shared for my 100 Days of Freebies. Thank you all so so much. Bruce was on fire and even the rain didn't stop every one of us enjoying his fantastic show. What a star that man and his band are. SUPERB.

Wow, facts about me? Are you sure you're ready for this, LOL...

Okay here are my 7 facts...

1. I'm a closet Goth. I'd like to 'come out' but I'm way too old to get away with the panda eyes and black lace, lol.

2. I'm a HUGE 'Cure' fan and back in my younger days even wrote a rather popular fanzine for them called 'The Curse' We even had our own Cure comic strip which an artist created for me.

3. I love to watch great old classics with stars like Cary Grant and Bette Davis. They don't make 'em like they used to....

4. If I could have a One to One with anyone it would be with Ramses11. He fascinates me. I'd love to know the real story behind the world first ever Peace Treaty between Egypt and the Hittites.

5. I have Dyslexia, as you can probably tell LOL and spell check doesn't always work because it still looks 'wrong' to me hahaha. It doesn't hinder me though. I'm grateful for all my life's blessings.

6. I am constantly in awe of our beautiful Planet and the whole of the cosmos, it's size, its mystery, it blows me away in a good way.

7. I had my 15 minutes, well, 1 hour actually, of fame two years ago when my mum and I were chosen for an Extreme Makeover UK. I got to meet and make some wonderful new friends who I love to bits but...... and its a BIG but..... I'd urge anyone thinking they 'need' something like this to make their worlds perfect to think carefully. I nearly lost my Mum during surgery and recovery and the surgeries we underwent have not worked and left us both badly scared so PLEASE be careful. What you see on tv is about 5 inches of makeup and some serious under-padding. Having said all that, it was an experience of a lifetime and in many ways I'm glad we did it for that alone.

Oh my Lord. What a to-do I've had this evening. Honestly, theres a lot to be said for living in the centre of town. No transport problems, everythings just a stones throw etc but..... I have the unfortunate delight of having a small private club that literally backs onto my garden and during the summer, they throw open the fire escape doors and all stand out there drinking away and looking right in at me busy working away at my old pc. It drives me crazy, but tonight there were a whole bunch of them stood out there, throwing the fag ends in my garden, shouting and swearing and screaching like girls do on a night out then they started yelling some pretty nasty stuff at me.

Well, I'm not usually one to have my feathers ruffled but I won't stand for abuse in my own home, so I politely asked them to desist, as you do.... and you can imagine the replies I got, right, including threats to come over and smash my face in (what a delightful girl, her parents must be so proud???) so..... I warned them..... they didn't listen...... but the police did..... That shut them up good n proper..... They ran faster then Lewis Hamilton in a fast car, lol. Come round and smash my face indeed. Hmmmphh. I think not young lady, I paid good money for this face, lol

Anyway, alls quiet in BooLand thankfully and I can enjoy watching the stars and cooking up some new design in peace, hehe so..... lets see what we have for the weekend.

OMG..... I nearly did it again. I've been at the pc since 7am and its now just gone 1am and I still nearly forgot my blog, lol. Well, I didn't think I was going to make it here today and I missed yesterday completely. My poor little poppet, Elly, has been as sick as a dog with a really nasty ear infection. She doesn't very often get sick but when she does, it really hts her and of course, the only comfort is Mum so I've been playing nursy for two days. Hello all. WOW, I actually took some time out today and did NOTHING on the pc, lol. It felt soooo weird but it sure was nice just to veg out for a bit. Just to finish off for today, I wanted to share with you two new lo's from the Blossoms

First is this beautiful lo from Lynn using my SAS Colour Challenge Kit. This is Lynns BIL holding baby Harry for the first time and its especially wonderful for us to see as Lynn's BIL has been very poorly of late but with lots of prayer, good wishes and an wonderfully supportive and loving family he is now making a good recovery. Thanks so much Lynn, we are so happy to share in your good news.

and here is a super lo with a gorgeously French feel to it from our Blossom Erika. She used my Birthstone 'Junes Pearl' kit for this lo along with some goodies from other Designers (you can find full credits on her blog) Isn't it just delicious!

Lynn used my April Blooms Kit for this fantastic lo of some Woodpeckers grabbing a bite to eat. I've never seen a real life Woodpecker. How wonderful that you get them in the garden there.
and Tracy used my Birthstone 'Junes Pearl' kit for this adorable lo of her beautiful little niece.

They should be available later today at SAS and hopefully at CLD in the next day or three (poor Kellie at CLD has her hands full with me, lol. I can't get my FTP to work for her so we have to do things the old fashioned way and send my products via snail mail, urgh, which is why they are not yet in store there but hopefully, we are getting on top of that little problem) so keep your eyes open for that.

Some Important Info re my Blog Kits, TOU and some New kits coming soon

I've been crazy busy working on some new kits and sorting out my older blog kits ready for store and I'm hoping to get them in for next week.

For those of you who asked about my previous blog kits, I've taken note and am working on them now for you. All my store products except CU items will now contain a special addition which will allow S4H/S4O including web design, tags, email stationary etc.

At the moment, any kits given on my blog as freebies are only allowed for Personal Use. Once they go to store, having been checked that they follow the TOU of and Designers who's products I may have used in the creation of the kit, they will have the additional S4H/S4O option at no extra cost BUT.... you must retain your reciept as proof of purchase and all the kits will contain a hidden watermark.

I have NO doubt that you will all understand why it has to be this way. Its a sad fact that even the great Scrapping community has not escaped Piracy and I have been affected by it myself so I know and understand how other Designers feel about it. However, because of it, Designers of CU Products have now put very strict conditions on their TOU, some do not allow their CU items to be used in making freebies for instance. This has meant an increase in cost for me and a lot more time involved in sourcing new and interesting products for you all to enjoy so.... with all that said... I am so sorry for those of you who have asked about using my freebies for the use of web sites, emails etc. You will have to buy the re-vamped kits from the store but I promise, I have so far kept all of them at a super price and a managable size. I sure hope that helps. You'll find them over at SAS and I'll let you know when they are in my other stores.

Give me your suggestions...

Ok, I often get a lot of my inspiration doing the colour challenges at my favourite places like DSO and CLD and ofcourse, mine at SAS, hehe. I don't know why that works for me but it does so.... here's what I'd love from you ladies. Send me your colour swatches via my email (left hand side bar at the top). If you have a story to go with it, like why they are your fav colours or why you want that paticular set of colours I'd love to hear it. If its a favourite photo or a room in your house that you just love because of the colour, send it in to me. If I choose YOUR colour swatch to work with, YOU will get that kit FREE, Hows that for some incentive?? Don't forget to include your name/user name and your email address. There should be 4 to 5 colours for a good colour swatch to work well.

Another thing I would love to know as I have a bad habit of getting carried away when I'm creating as my 100 Days will show, lol.

Kit Sizes

I'd love some ideas of what you ladies think is a nice size for a kit. How many papers do you like to get in your kit and of those, how many patterned, how many solids. And how many elements per kit do you think is right, good value for money etc. What kind of elements do you like to see? I recieved a message from a lovely lass the other day commenting on size of kits so I thought I'd put the question out there and see what YOU all think.

I have been thinking of doing something like a

Mini Kit, 6 to 10 papers and 12 to 18 elements

Midi Kit 10 to 20 papers and 20+ Elements

Maxi Kit 20+ papers and 30+ elements

Mega Kit 30+ papers and 40+ elements

What do you think????

Hello everyone. How are you all doing?

Is it me or is the internet painfully sloooooowwwww today?? Perhaps its something to do with 'Earth Hour' and saving energy? I've been sitting here with just the light from the pc and a candle to try and do my bit. Its quite nice actually lol.

Having said that, I might not feel quite so relaxed had I watched all of Most Haunted lol but fortunately, Jay had set the sky to record and so my programme ended rather abruptly, right in the middle of one of Yvettes screams, hmmmm. It's not the same without Derek Akhora though. He was just so much fun to watch.

Now, I found when going through all of the names that some of you had the same suggestions. You all went into the Bonnet. Spring Passion actually came up three times, even my Blossom Trudie chose it, hehe. So I am so so sorry if you were one of those that chose the correct name but didn't get pulled out of the Bonnet.

Mums Treat

I'm posting this a little early today because I'm treating my mum to a night out on the town. We are headed off to the Bold Hotel in Southport where mums old School Chums, ' The Walmsely Brothers' are playing 50's,60's and 70's music. The Great CT Appreciation Week

My BIG Secret can now be revealed, hehe. Whats it all about?? Let me tell you.

We Designers work long and hard on our kits and Digi Products because we want to give our customers the very best service we can. One important way for us to show you what we have is through layouts. This is a very important part of our business. However, we very often don't have time to do this ourselves so we have Creative Teams to work their magic for us. A Creative Team Member would take a kit and create a layout using it then post it to their Galleries letting people like you know what products they used and where to find them.

All they get in return for their dedicatated work and wonderful talent is the use of the Designers kit (usually for free).

What can WE do for them?

We Designers wanted some way to show our teams just how much we appreciate EVERYTHING they do for us so, Blossoms, this is what we came up with.

The Biggest Kit in the World and it has been created especially for YOU.

What happens after CT Apprecation Week?

Now, Once CT Appreciation Week is done, this Massive Kit may well be sold for Charity but thats something we are still discussing as I write this. Personally, I hope it is and I KNOW my Blossoms would feel the same way.

But for now. The ONLY people to get this special kit are the CT Teams of those Designers who took part. We have been so excited doing this for you and it was very hard to keep the secret for some of us, lol. We hope you love it as much as we love you.

How does the Team get this?

Hello everyone. Hope you've all had a lovely day. Mine has been busy, busy, busy today. I managed to finally complete my next three Birthstone kits so they should hit the stores some time next week and I've also finished up another two kits but they will have to wait until my NO NAME kit finds out who it is and is won by one of you lucky people.

I must say, so far the suggestions have been absolutely fantastic. I've loved them all and all I can say is I'm soooooo glad its Elly picking from the Easter Bonnet this Sunday, lol. If I had my way, I'd have them all. Some of you have had me tickled pink with your suggestions, comments and 'eagerness'. Its been a great experience, lots of fun and I want to thank you all for being so enthusiastic about it. You guys ROCK my world.
